ASAIB has great pleasure in inviting you to take part in our annual conference.

R850 per person per day including conference attendance, conference pack, coffee/tea and refreshments and lunches.

The programme consists of a pre-conference workshop on Bibliographic and Reference Techniques on 12 May, and a full conference on 13 May. The AGM and Indexing Awards will form part of the conference on 13 May.

Summaries of prospective papers and workshop ideas should be submitted in MS Word to Marlene Burger at marlene@burger.nom.za before 11 April 2016.

Scope: Indexing developments and their impact in the past, present and future; application of different indexing techniques; IT developments; views from the publishing industry, and so on.

The ASAIB 2016 Award for best index and/or bibliography published during 2015 will be made at the conference – see details below.

ASAIB Award for Best Indexer and/or Bibliographer

The ASAIB 2016 Award for best index and/or bibliography published in Southern Africa during 2015 will be made at the conference on 13 May.

Please submit your index or bibliography for award evaluation by an unbiased committee. You need not be a member of ASAIB to submit entries. ASAIB also accepts more than one entry per person.
